We have made all the changes and adjustments that we had planned. 

There have been quite a few changes and one of them is that we now have Towny as our main, and for now, only source of protection plugin.

Towny was the base and backbone of CraftRealms since the first days of its life. So we are bringing it back! 

We have made changes though in our point of view about towns. In the past we had it strictly to only very few towns a week and to few donors. Now this has changed! 

To level out our economy we have made it so EVERYONE can create a town! It will COST you in-game money to make a town. And up-keeping costs a lot. So mayors are expected to collect taxes, and sell plots to people that join their towns.  This will help out the economy and will make the game interesting and fun to see who has the best town creating skills. 

Now, since our only plugin to protect your house is towny, we need to have a few towns and plots ready for you guys, so when you join you can have a place to settle down.

For this reason, we are going to allow every donor that wants to create a town to join the server TODAY! 

Donors get a free town when they donate so that is the reason why they are allowed to join first. Members have to pay for their town with in-game money, since nobody has money in-game, we cannot allow members to join yet.

EDIT: We have enough mayors for now. Thank you. Donors will still get their town just we don't need any more towns as of right now.


If you want to donate to get your town you can do that. 

NOTE: This is temporary,  server will become fully opened once we have a few towns ready. 

You DO NOT need to be a donor to get a town once the server opens to the public. We are just doing this for a short time so we can have a few towns ready for you guys to join once the server opens. I hope you can understand our point of view.

We have been working hard the past few days. I am happy to announce that we are making progress and things are being done the right way this time.

We have gotten goals achieved so far on the survival server and we are working on fixing and configuring everything up to the last setting and we are not going to open until everything is the way it needs to be.

We are in the process of just putting things together as we have finalized what we want on each server. We will be testing a lot of the bugs and a lot of the issues we used to have to make sure that everything will be working without issues.

We thank you for being patient and for not bugging us as to when the servers will open :P.

We have no ETA yet but it will not be long till we go public.

I've got good news, and some more good news! Lately we have been having issues with the Plugins, so much to the point that it has become a cluster-schmuck of a mess and the only way to fix those pesky bugs we've experienced since the recent reset is to do a complete overhaul on the Server.

CR Staff have attempted to hold together the bits and pieces that still functioned and tried to bandage broken bones just so you guys could still come play ... Now we have to look at the real issue and understand that CR will never be more than 50% unless we make this happen.

Pr0Acid and Kilker among others have decided it was time to wipe the slate clean of these problematic plugins, that cannot be removed without destroying other functioning plugins ... in essence: CraftRealms 4.0 is in the works, and this time - there will be PLENTY of time to redo all plugins to resolve any malfunctions and ensure proper configuration.

We are hoping to bring you some of the old CR Experience back mixed in with some of the new features and plugins, that hopefully everyone will enjoy! Please note that this is NOT a simple map reset.

Pr0Acid: 

All ranks are saved. Also people for the few people that paid and didnt get their ranks this week because we were to busy, i will personally apologize to you and we can work something out for the trouble and time you had to wait.

CraftRealms has lost its spirit because the main server ( Survival Server) has been such a mess. Things dont work.. Bugs are everywhere and its not fun. There are barely 30 people on that server that once has 170... 

With this reset we are going to redo CraftRealms from the bottom up. You will see a new CR when you re-join in a few weeks. And i can assure you that it will be A LOT better. 

We have been doing a lot of work in the background of brainstorming and thinking of new features. I will make a forum post so you guys can also suggest things you would like to see in the servers. 

Additionally i would like to explain why it will take us that long. As you have seen right now 60% of the things we have planned do not work, or even if they do, they are half broken. The reason being that we never took the time to do them RIGHT. And this time i would rather sacrifice time than quality. I want to give you guys the best experience possible and the only way to do it is if we take our time to get things done!

We might leave a few servers up such as hungergames so you guys do not forget that we exist :P

To get things done faster and better, I reworked on the way bugs are submitted, reviewed and FIXED!

First of all go to this page: To Do list

If you see that your bug is already there then just please wait until we fix it.

If your bug is NOT there then take these steps.
- Login into the site.
- Go to the forums section.
- Scroll Down until you see Server Problems.
- Select the appropriate Server Name that bug is located on.
- Make a thread with the title telling what the bug is about. Example: if bug is related to permissions then name it Permissions Bug. If its related to Login Glitch then name it Login Issue and ETC.

- Wait for an admin to review it and add it to the To Do List page listed in the beginning of this post.

Quick Break Down:

RealmZ is basically a pretty close copy of MineZ. Minez is a copy of DayZ. That was confusing, wasn't it? Well, DayZ is a game about a post-apocalyptic scenario in which zombies take over the world and you have only a few things to survive. The objective is to stay alive as long as you can.

Features:

• Faster, Harder, Stronger, Smarter Zombies.
• Monsters: Zombies and Giants only!
• Chat System: Hold an Ender Eye to global chat with others that have their Ender Eye in that slot of their hotbar! (The Hotbar provides radio channels.)
• Score System: Type /mz score to see your score.
• No health regeneration from food. (But you can still starve to death!)
• Medical System: You may heal other players with Rose Red Dye (Healing Ointment) and Shears, as well as use Lime Green Dye (Antibiotics) and Shears to cure them of becoming a zombie! You can even use both of them at the same time! To begin healing someone, you must left click them with a bandage, punch them with the dyes that you are using, and punch them with shears. They should gain regeneration and be cured of the infection.
• You have thirst in MineZ. The level above your EXP bar shows how much water you have in you. It starts at 20 and decays over time. If it reaches 0, you start to die from dehydration. To replenish your thirst level, you must drink from a Water Bottle. (A little tip: Don't drink until your thirst level is at 2. Drinking water will always replenish the level to 20!) You may refill your Water Bottles with any nearby water source blocks or cauldrons.
• Detection Meter: Your EXP bar shows how likely you are to be detected by a Zombie. The more green it is, the likely you are to be seen. A way to reduce your detection is to move slower than you are. If you're walking, sneak. If you're running, walk. If you're jumping, jump and sneak. (If you're sprinting everywhere, you can expect Zombies to be spawned on you.)
• Snowballs (Rocks) are used to distract zombies.
• If you are being attacked by multiple enemies, you may sneak and hit them with an axe to do an area attack (an attack which hits in a certain radius.)
• Ender Pearls act as grenades, but you take damage from them as well, so use them wisely!
• Bleeding: When you take a hard fall or are hit really hard (by a player or zombie), you begin to take periodic damage until you use a Paper (Bandage) or are healed by another player.
• Infection: When hit by a zombie, you have a chance to contract the Zombie Virus. In the case that this happens, you will take periodic damage until you either are healed by another player using Antibiotics, drink a Milk Bucket, or die from the infection.
• Zombies Take Your Inventory: Your player head, and your name will levitate above him after he kills you. (The next player that kills it gets the inventory you died with.) If there is no player within 32 blocks of your Zombie, it will despawn (the items going with it).
• Rage-Quit Prevention: To logout safely, you have to hold the ender eye and right click! If you disconnect the normal way, a NPC will be spawned in your place (for at least 15 seconds) and other players/zombies can kill it!

Fun Facts:

• Players who kill other players for mischevious reasons are called Bandits.
• Paper is called a "bandage."
• Red Dye is called "healing ointment."
• Green Dye is called "antibiotics."
• Ender Pearls are called "grenades."
• Snowballs are called "rocks."
• The different slots in your hotbar (1-9) are different radio channels. A person with their Ender Eye in slot 3 cannot hear a person with their Ender Eye in slot 4!

Known Bugs:

• Chests sometimes have no items :/... Working to fix that.
• No ranks so far.
• Not sure if killstreaks work.
• Not sure about this one, but anytime a player gets hurt, you hear that sound for some reason.

Hello CraftRealms

There have been a few things going on with the staff team and so many different ideas have been spread as to why i took the actions that i did.

First of all people have been using the fact that i have been inactive from CraftRealms as a reason to say that i do not care about CraftRealms. This is not the case, the actual reason why i have been absent was because of a Student Loan that was approved at the begging on my college classes and then i was told that the papers were not right and i was not considered for the Loan. I already had started my classes and I needed to find the money to pay for them. My parents helped with part of the money and the rest i had to work myself to acquire them. I never told anyone anything because it is a personal thing and i am not a person who will seek for people to feel bad for me and also it would seem as i was asking for donations. I work for my money and every dime i earned was because i worked for it. I have not touched any of the server donations for any other purpose except for server use. If i did then we would not have a server right now. Anyways I was not going to share this because this is my life and its my duty to fix. I am not here to seek for your sympathy. I am saying this because people talk about me as if they known me. Only a few people have gotten to know me and i would only accept judgment from them.

Now that i have made that clear i would like to continue to the staff demotions. While i have been gone, staff have changed. They are not the same people i left. (Not all, but most) Staff fought all the time from what i heard. David was a babysitter in a few words. He never took big actions because he did not want to change CraftRealms. And i respect him a lot for that. As he told me, " I would never change CR from what you left it because i would feel like am taking CraftRealms away from you" (WTFvckBro). He is one of the strongest and wisest admin that i have had the pleasure to meet and work with. He left a month ago because he needed a break. The staff has not been a pleasant area. People get to see admins in game but they do not get to see who they really are behind the sense.

I have been looking at things since i came back and i have been thinking for changes for the past 2-3 weeks and i came up with my solution that MrT and David agreed on.

Demotions:

Doctor. He was demoted because he has more than CR that he has to deal with. He has his own server and has been admin in many other servers. After he got admin he has not been the best he can be. I AM NOT SAYING HE IS A BAD ADMIN.... the changes were not made because admins abused or were bad admins. The changes were made because i think they were stopping somethings from flowing right.  Doc admitted  that he was not the same after he was admin and up. A little more than mod was the position he best performed under. I talked with Doc additionally because he likes to build. He will stick around and he can get a builder rank with a few more perks. I do not dislike him as a person. This is not a personal demotion.

Rated: Rated was an abuser as a Donor. Not only once it was more than once. I gave him chances. FACT: He is the only admin that i have given so many chances to. Anyways he became mod and he made some mistakes that lead to his demotion and right after he was demoted he made threads of him leaving CR. This happened 2 times in a row. This lead to the fact that he was staying here just for the rank. The downside of people that stay here for the rank is that after they get bored they could easily decide to destroy the server. I am not saying that rated would do that, but i have no reason to risk it. he has proven in the past that he stayed here for the rank and he proved it again. He has been trash talking about me and saying that i am corrupt. And as a FACT: He just quit CraftRealms.... You can see the difference. Doc didn't go around spreading trash talking or disrespecting anyone. He accepted the facts and moved on. Rated just proved my point and i think i need to say no more.
Anyways i thank Rated for his work on the server.

Sking: I have plenty of proof of him being disrespectful to some members and staff. He is a hard worker and active. He is demoted until i see his attitude issue is fixed. Nothing more to say about sking. He is working on his way back up.


HeyItsMrT and WTFvckBro have agreed with these decisions.

I hope you took a better glance at my situation and life. Don't be quick to judge people because i can assure you there are a ton of things behind a username....

I am not changing my decision. There will be people agreeing and disagreeing but sometimes a leader has to do things that sometimes people do not agree or quite understand the reasons behind them.

We had planned to move to a new host for a while since we were not getting the best we could out of the current one.

We got 2 new machines with 2 times better processing power which should increase the server performance and also allow as to get new plugins without having to worry about lag. We do not know if the server or the plugins is the issue though. But we are moving to a new host to try it out.

Nothing will change for you. The ip will still be the same Mc.Craftrealms.Com ( we are just going to change where it points). No item loss. Nothing of that sort :P.

We are able to afford this new hardware even though its more expensive due to the people who donate. So if you your self cannot donate please say a thanks to the donors once in a while because they are a major help to the servers economic state. Then of course thank the staff too :D

And i thank all of you for making CR what it is :D

Lets all hope new host means better CR performance :P nobody likes a laggy server no matter how good the community is or how good the staff is :P

What is CR Hub?
CraftRealms hub will be the new way to play on CraftRealms. All of our server IP's will lead to one server. It will be a server with portals that will lead to all of our other servers. With this new feature, you will be able to play on all of our servers at once. Meaning you can tp back an forth without having to look for the ip or even disconnecting from the server. This will populate all of our servers and it will make it easier for players to find what they like most.

How will the servers be divided?
1. There will be a Minigames portal on this Hub server. This portal will lead to a collection of servers that will have HG, CTF, Spleef, PB, and  The Walls.

2. There will be a Survival Server portal. This will lead to our Survival server which will now run with a twist :P. The plan is to split the Survival Server in to two different machines that will run simultaneously. This means that when you connect to it, it will see just as if its one server. But it will be handled by two servers. This will reduce the lag and will increase the amount of people that we can hold!

3. There will also be a pvp server portal. That will be the pvp server.

How long will this take?
Funny you ask random guy. The plan is to have our server down Starting on Monday March 25 till 27. We will have one CR server running that people can login into so they dont feel completely lost. :P

On that time we are going to work to get all these plants into actual work. 

Will the main server reset during this period of time?
In one word. Yes. There are new maps and spawns already done and almost ready, so people will not have to wait for us to rebuild a new spawn and all that.

To all those who will hate me for the reset, all i can say is that we are doing this for the better.

When will you update the server to 1.5!!!????
All servers will be running on 1.5 as soon as we are ready with the CR hub.

I know i have been absent for a long time. It has been a tough time for me, and i had to set some priorities. I am in College. I have a ton of things to do and if i work hard right now, it will pay off the whole rest of my life. 

Additionally on top of that i have been having some personal issues and I really did not feel like doing much.

I could sit here and make up a fake reason for my absence but I don't feel i have to hide from you guys.

I know that for the staff it has not been the best time of their lives as they were left alone and were at some points powerless since they could do only as much. I know that and i appreciate it. 

Some of the staff wont understand my situation and i don't really expect them to. I have not been doing my job and i know that. We could sit here and argue but there is nothing to argue about.

I don't want to make it seem that the server is not important to me. CR was down for a long time before i started it again. I obviously have a lot of passion and love for this server and some of the older staff know that.

Either way i think i owed an explaination and here it is :P

So i decided to resign for CraftRealms
SAID NO PR0ACID EVER! :PP

I am back and am not going anywhere :D My goal is to be for at least 1 - 5 hours a day online and bring CR back to it's glory.

I heard that some staff left and hence after i get to see how things are running again we will have another trial mod application. 

It will take me sometime to get back on track so dont expect things to be better instantly :P

If you need to downgrade to 1.4.7, please download the Minecraft Version Changer located here, open (execute) the MVC jar file, scroll down to "Minecraft 1.4.7", and click "Change" (Make sure you do not have a Minecraft client open while clicking "Change").

We appreciate those of you that are dedicated enough to switch back and forth or just stay on 1.4.7 for the sake of our server. See you guys in game!
